ZILAS 20 MG TABLET is indicated for:

Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).
Management of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Combination treatment of ED and BPH when both conditions coexist.

Pharmacology:
Tadalafil is a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitor that enhances the effect of nitric oxide by increasing cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels. This leads to relaxation of smooth muscles and increased blood flow to specific areas, such as the penis, facilitating an erection.

Dosage & Administration:

Erectile Dysfunction: Take one 20 mg tablet at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Do not take more than one dose per day.
BPH or Combined ED and BPH: 5 mg once daily, taken at the same time each day.
Can be taken with or without food.

Interaction:

Avoid concomitant use with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) as it may cause severe hypotension.
Use cautiously with antihypertensive medications or alpha-blockers.
Grapefruit juice may increase Tadalafil plasma levels and should be avoided.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any of the tablet's components.
Concurrent use of nitrates or nitric oxide donors.
Severe hepatic or renal impairment without medical supervision.

Side Effects:

Common: Headache, flushing, nasal congestion, and dyspepsia.
Rare: Priapism (prolonged erection), sudden hearing or vision loss, or severe hypotension.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Not indicated for use in women.

Precautions & Warnings:

Assess cardiovascular status before initiating treatment, as sexual activity may pose a risk for patients with underlying cardiovascular conditions.
Use with caution in patients with anatomical penile deformities or predisposition to priapism.
Regular monitoring is advised for patients on long-term therapy.
