Tagus 20 mg is indicated for:
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or with other antidiabetic agents.
Enhancing glycemic control when lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise are insufficient.
Teneligliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels (GLP-1 and GIP). This action enhances insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon release, effectively controlling blood sugar levels.
Dosage:
Recommended dose is 20 mg once daily, taken as advised by a physician. Dosage adjustments may depend on patient condition.
Administration:
Administer orally with or without food at a convenient time.
Risk of hypoglycemia when combined with sulfonylureas or insulin.
May interact with drugs such as digoxin and certain antiretrovirals.
Known hypersensitivity to Teneligliptin or its excipients.
Patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.
Common: Hypoglycemia, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
Rare: Pancreatitis, severe allergic reactions, or rash.

Lactation: Not recommended as excretion into breast milk is unknown.
