Indications:
NOVEA 10 MG is indicated for:

Treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease

May help with memory, awareness, and ability to function
Pharmacology:
Donepezil is a reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It increases the concentration of acetylcholine in the brain by inhibiting its breakdown, thereby improving neurotransmission and cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
Dosage & Administration:

Starting dose: 5 mg once daily, preferably at bedtime
-
May be increased to 10 mg/day after 4–6 weeks based on tolerance
-
Should be taken with or without food

Dose adjustment is required in hepatic impairment
Interaction:
-
May interact with anticholinergic drugs (reduce effectiveness)

Risk of bradycardia increases with beta-blockers
-
Use caution with NSAIDs due to increased GI bleeding risk
-
CYP450 inhibitors (like ketoconazole) may increase Donepezil levels
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Donepezil or piperidine derivatives

Severe liver dysfunction

History of QT prolongation (caution)
Side Effects:

Common: Nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, muscle cramps

Less common: Dizziness, fatigue, anorexia

Rare: Bradycardia, seizures, gastrointestinal bleeding
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed

Unknown whether excreted in breast milk—use caution during lactation
Precautions & Warnings:

Monitor heart rate; risk of bradycardia

Use with caution in patients with asthma or COPD

Taper dose slowly if discontinuing to avoid rebound symptoms

Not a cure—symptom improvement only
