DENVAR 200MG Capsule is indicated for the treatment of:-
Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

Urinary tract infections (UTI)

Skin and soft tissue infections

Gastrointestinal infections

Pharmacology:
DENVAR contains Cefdinir, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death, effectively treating a wide range of bacterial infections.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 200 mg twice daily or as directed by a physician.

Administer orally with or without food. Complete the full course to prevent resistance.
Interaction:

Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium may reduce the absorption of Cefdinir.

May interact with oral anticoagulants, increasing the risk of bleeding.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cefdinir or other cephalosporins.

Severe renal impairment without dose adjustment.
Side Effects:

Common: Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain

Rare: Allergic reactions, severe rash, or Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Safe for use during pregnancy if clearly needed. It is excreted in small amounts in breast milk; consult a doctor before use.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use cautiously in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis.

Avoid use in cases of viral infections as antibiotics are ineffective against viruses.
