PULMOCARE L is indicated for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in patients with reversible obstructive airway disease such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Pharmacology:
Levosalbutamol is the (R)-enantiomer of Salbutamol, a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist. It works by stimulating beta-2 receptors in bronchial smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow with potentially fewer side effects than racemic salbutamol.
Dosage:
Adults and children: Usually 1–2 inhalations (50–100 mcg) every 4–6 hours, or as directed by physician. Maximum doses should not be exceeded.
Administration:
For inhalation only. Shake well before use. Inhale through mouth while pressing down on inhaler. Hold breath for 10 seconds before exhaling slowly.
Interaction:
May interact with beta-blockers, diuretics, MAO inhibitors, and other sympathomimetics. Caution with digoxin or QT-prolonging agents.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Levosalbutamol or any component of the inhaler. Caution in cardiovascular disease.
Side Effects:
Tremor, nervousness, palpitations, headache, muscle cramps, throat irritation, dizziness. Rare: paradoxical bronchospasm.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and under physician supervision. It is unknown if the drug is excreted in breast milk.

Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution in patients with cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes.
Therapeutic Class:
Bronchodilators (Selective beta-2 adrenergic agonists)
Storage Conditions:
Store below 30°C, away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not puncture or incinerate the canister. Keep out of reach of children.
