RANSYS 40 MG Tablet is indicated for:

Management of severe hypertension (high blood pressure)

Prevention of cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes

Support in chronic heart failure and post-myocardial infarction care
Pharmacology
RANSYS contains Ramipril 40 mg, an ACE inhibitor that works by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. This mechanism reduces vasoconstriction, lowers blood pressure, and decreases strain on the heart, providing protection against cardiovascular events.
Dosage & Administration

Severe Hypertension: Start with a lower dose and gradually increase to 40 mg as prescribed by a physician.

Can be taken with or without food.

Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Interaction

Avoid concurrent use with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements due to the risk of hyperkalemia.

NSAIDs may reduce the effectiveness of the medication and increase the risk of renal impairment.

Use cautiously with other antihypertensive medications to prevent excessive blood pressure lowering.
Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to Ramipril or other ACE inhibitors.

History of angioedema with prior ACE inhibitor use.

Severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Regularly monitor renal function, blood pressure, and electrolyte levels.

Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis or those on diuretics.

Avoid abrupt discontinuation to prevent rebound hypertension.
