TTERNILLA 100 MG TABLET is indicated for the treatment of protozoal infections such as giardiasis and cryptosporidiosis, as well as other parasitic diseases.
Pharmacology:
Nitazoxanide is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic and antiviral agent. It works by inhibiting the pyruvate-ferredoxin oxidoreductase enzyme-dependent electron transfer reaction essential for anaerobic metabolism in parasites.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 500 mg twice daily for 3 days.

Children: 100 mg to 200 mg (based on age and weight), twice daily for 3 days.

Should be taken with food for better absorption.
Interaction:

May interact with medications like warfarin, leading to an increased risk of bleeding.

No significant interactions reported with commonly prescribed drugs.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Nitazoxanide or any component of the formulation.
