DELPARK 1MG Tablet is indicated for:
-
Management of signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

Treatment of moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS).
Pharmacology
Pramipexole is a non-ergot dopamine agonist that directly stimulates dopamine receptors in the brain. It helps restore the balance of dopamine, thereby alleviating motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease and improving symptoms of RLS.
Dosage & Administration

Parkinson’s Disease: Initial dose is 0.125 mg three times a day, titrated weekly as needed to a maximum of 1.5 mg three times daily.

Restless Legs Syndrome: Start with 0.125 mg once daily, 2-3 hours before bedtime, and adjust as required.

Administration: Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole.
Interaction

Drug Interactions:

May enhance the sedative effects of alcohol or other CNS depressants.

Caution when combined with antipsychotic medications or drugs that lower blood pressure.

Food Interactions: No significant interactions, but taking with food may reduce nausea.
Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Pramipexole or any component of the formulation.
Side Effects
Common side effects:

Nausea, dizziness.

Somnolence, fatigue.
Rare or severe side effects:

Hallucinations, confusion.

Orthostatic hypotension, compulsive behaviors.
Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy: Use only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus (Category C).

Lactation: Not recommended as Pramipexole may inhibit lactation.
Precautions & Warnings

Monitor for sudden sleep episodes or excessive daytime sleepiness.

Caution in patients with a history of psychiatric illness or compulsive behaviors.

Gradual dose reduction is recommended when discontinuing therapy to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
