VISET 50 ML SYRUP is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, nasal discharge, and itching, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria characterized by itching and hives.
Pharmacology:
Cetirizine is a selective H1 receptor antagonist that inhibits the histamine action, thereby reducing allergic symptoms. It is non-sedative and well-suited for both children and adults.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults & Children (above 12 years): 10 ml once daily.

Children (6-12 years): 5 ml twice daily or 10 ml once daily.

Children (2-6 years): 2.5 ml twice daily.

Shake well before use. Follow the prescribed dosage by a physician.
Interaction:

Avoid alcohol or CNS depressants to reduce the risk of drowsiness.

No significant interactions with other commonly prescribed medications.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cetirizine or any components of the syrup.

Severe renal impairment.
Side Effects:

Common: Mild drowsiness, headache, dry mouth.

Rare: Allergic reactions, gastrointestinal discomfort, or dizziness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Use during pregnancy only if necessary and under medical supervision.

Caution is advised for lactating mothers as Cetirizine may pass into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use cautiously in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

Do not exceed the recommended dose, especially in pediatric patients.
