DENVAR DS 50ML Suspension is indicated for the treatment of:-
Severe upper and lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

Complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Skin and soft tissue infections

Otitis media (ear infections)
-
Gastrointestinal infections

Pharmacology:
DENVAR DS Suspension contains Cefdinir, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, causing bacterial cell lysis and death. The double-strength formulation ensures a higher concentration for severe infections, specially tailored for children.
Dosage & Administration:

Dosage: 7 mg/kg body weight twice daily or 14 mg/kg once daily, as prescribed by a physician.

Shake the bottle well before each use. Use the provided measuring device for accurate dosing.

Administer with or without food, ensuring the entire course is completed.
Interaction:

Avoid administration with iron supplements or antacids, as they may reduce absorption.

Concurrent use with anticoagulants may increase the risk of bleeding.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cefdinir or other cephalosporins.

Severe renal impairment without proper dose adjustment.
Side Effects:

Common: Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting

Rare: Severe allergic reactions, rash, or pseudomembranous colitis
