Indications:
CLONATRIL 0.5MG Tablet is indicated for:

Management of anxiety disorders and panic attacks.

Treatment of seizure disorders such as epilepsy.

Adjunct therapy in acute manic episodes and agitation.
Pharmacology:
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that inhibits excessive brain activity. This leads to calming effects on the brain, making it effective for anxiety, panic, and seizure disorders.

Adults: 0.25 mg to 1 mg daily, adjusted based on clinical response and tolerance.

Children: Dosage is weight-dependent, typically starting at 0.01–0.03 mg/kg/day.

Swallow the tablet with water.

Can be taken with or without food.

Interaction:

Avoid concurrent use with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants.

Interacts with drugs metabolized by CYP450 enzymes, such as phenytoin and carbamazepine.
