RANSYS 20 MG Tablet is indicated for:

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

Prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney complications

Management of chronic heart failure and post-myocardial infarction recovery
Pharmacology
RANSYS contains Ramipril 20 mg, a long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It lowers blood pressure by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, causing vasodilation and reducing blood volume.
Dosage & Administration

Hypertension: Start with a lower dose and gradually increase to 20 mg daily as prescribed.

Heart failure: Dosing may vary based on clinical response, generally starting at 1.25 mg and titrating upward.

Can be taken with or without food.
Interaction

Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics to prevent hyperkalemia.

Increased risk of kidney damage when used with NSAIDs.

Alcohol may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect.
Contraindications

Allergy to Ramipril or other ACE inhibitors.

History of angioedema associated with prior ACE inhibitor use.

Severe renal impairment or bilateral renal artery stenosis.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Contraindicated in pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters, due to teratogenicity.

Use during lactation is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
Precautions & Warnings

Monitor kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolytes during therapy.

Caution in patients with dehydration or on diuretics.

Abrupt discontinuation may lead to rebound hypertension.
