TERNILLA SR 200 MG TABLET is indicated for the treatment of protozoal infections, including giardiasis and cryptosporidiosis, and certain parasitic diseases requiring prolonged therapeutic action.
Pharmacology:
Nitazoxanide, in its sustained-release form, ensures prolonged bioavailability and steady therapeutic levels. It acts by disrupting anaerobic energy metabolism in parasites via inhibition of the pyruvate-ferredoxin oxidoreductase enzyme pathway.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults: 200 mg twice daily, preferably with food, for 3 days or as directed by a physician.

Children (above 12 years): As prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Interaction:

May interact with anticoagulants such as warfarin, increasing bleeding risk.

Avoid concomitant use with other antiparasitic agents unless medically advised.
Contraindications:
