Indications:
CLEOCIN 300MG Capsule is indicated for:

Skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses and cellulitis.

Respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis.

Bone and joint infections, such as osteomyelitis.
-
Female genital tract infections, including pelvic inflammatory disease.

Serious anaerobic and Gram-positive bacterial infections.
Pharmacology:
Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It prevents bacterial growth and replication, making it effective against various bacterial infections.
Dosage and Administration:

Dosage:

Adults: 300–450 mg every 6–8 hours, depending on the infection's severity.

Children: 8–20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 6–8 hours.

Administration:

Take the capsule with a full glass of water to avoid esophageal irritation.

Can be taken with or without food.

Interaction:

Concurrent use with erythromycin may reduce the efficacy of both antibiotics.

May enhance the effects of neuromuscular blocking agents.

Avoid combining with drugs that prolong the QT interval.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Clindamycin or lincomycin.

Patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis.
Side Effects:

Common: Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rash.

Rare: Pseudomembranous colitis, severe allergic reactions, or jaundice.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
