DENVAR 75ML Suspension is indicated for the treatment of:-
Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)

Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Skin and soft tissue infections
-
Otitis media (ear infections)
-
Gastrointestinal infections

Pharmacology:
DENVAR Suspension contains Cefdinir, a third-generation cephalosporin. It works by disrupting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial lysis and death. Its suspension form is specially designed for pediatric use.
Dosage & Administration:

Dosage: 7 mg/kg body weight twice daily or 14 mg/kg once daily, as prescribed by a physician.

Shake the bottle well before each use. Administer using the provided measuring device.

Ensure the full course is completed to prevent bacterial resistance.
Interaction:

Avoid administration with antacids or iron supplements to ensure optimal absorption.

May interact with oral anticoagulants, increasing bleeding tendencies.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cefdinir or other cephalosporins.

Use with caution in children with a history of severe penicillin allergy.
Side Effects:

Common: Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting

Rare: Severe allergic reactions, rash, or pseudomembranous colitis
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Although formulated for pediatric use, consult a physician if the suspension is prescribed during pregnancy or lactation.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis.

Do not use for viral infections.
