TINACTIN 15 GM CREAM is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and ringworm (tinea corporis). It also helps prevent fungal recurrence when used as directed.
Pharmacology:
Tolnaftate is a topical antifungal agent that inhibits the growth of dermatophytes by disrupting fungal cell membrane synthesis, effectively treating superficial fungal infections.
Dosage & Administration:

Clean and thoroughly dry the affected area.

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area twice daily (morning and night).

Use regularly for at least 2 weeks for jock itch and ringworm, and 4 weeks for athlete's foot.
Interaction:

No significant drug interactions are reported with topical Tolnaftate.

Avoid using other topical antifungal agents concurrently unless prescribed.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Tolnaftate or any excipient in the cream.

Not recommended for use on severely irritated or broken skin.
Side Effects:

Common: Mild itching, redness, or irritation at the application site.

Rare: Allergic reactions or contact dermatitis.

Safe for use during pregnancy and lactation when applied as directed, as systemic absorption is minimal.
