DENTRO 25MG Capsule is indicated for:-
Major depressive disorder

Generalized anxiety disorder
-
Panic attacks and mood disorders

Pharmacology:
DENTRO contains Amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA). It works by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, thereby increasing their levels in the brain and improving mood regulation.
Dosage & Administration:

The usual adult dose: 25-50 mg/day, which may be adjusted as per the doctor’s recommendation.

Administer orally, preferably at bedtime to reduce drowsiness during daytime.
Interaction:

May interact with MAO inhibitors, SSRIs, and CNS depressants.

Avoid concurrent use with alcohol to prevent excessive sedation.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Amitriptyline or any component of the capsule.

Patients with recent myocardial infarction, or those with severe liver or kidney impairment.
Side Effects:

Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation

Rare: Arrhythmia, severe allergic reactions
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Should be used during pregnancy only if absolutely necessary. It may pass into breast milk; consult a doctor before use during lactation.
Precautions & Warnings:

Use with caution in patients with a history of seizures or bipolar disorder.

Avoid activities requiring alertness, such as driving or operating heavy machinery, after taking this medication.
