Reef-DX 600mg 400IU Tablet is indicated for:
Osteoporosis
Osteomalacia
Tetany
Hypoparathyroidism
Disorders of osteogenesis
Calcium deficiency during pregnancy, lactation, childhood, and old age
Supplementation in chronic renal failure and pancreatitis
Reef-DX contains coral-derived calcium carbonate and vitamin D3. Coral calcium closely resembles human bone composition, ensuring better absorption. Vitamin D3 enhances calcium absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and maintains calcium balance in the body .
Adults: One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by a physician.
Taking the tablet with food enhances absorption .
Thiazide diuretics may reduce calcium excretion, increasing hypercalcemia risk.
Systemic corticosteroids can reduce calcium absorption.
Calcium carbonate may interfere with the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics; administer tetracycline at least two hours before or four to six hours after calcium intake.
Foods high in oxalic acid (e.g., spinach) or phytic acid (e.g., whole cereals) may inhibit calcium absorption .
Hypercalcemia

Severe renal insufficiency
Hypersensitivity to any component of the tablet
Concomitant digoxin therapy without proper monitoring
Gastrointestinal irritation

Safe during pregnancy and lactation under medical supervision.
Daily intake should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IU vitamin D3 during pregnancy .
Monitor serum calcium levels during prolonged use.
Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment or a history of kidney stones.
Avoid concurrent high doses of calcium and vitamin D supplements without medical advice .
