Indications:
HALONATE 20 GM is indicated for the topical treatment of:

Psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis)
-
Eczema and contact dermatitis
-
Lichen planus
-
Other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses
-
Inflammatory skin disorders with itching and redness
Pharmacology:
HALONATE contains Halobetasol Propionate 0.05%, a potent topical corticosteroid that works by:

Inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines
-
Suppressing the immune response in the skin
-
Reducing swelling, redness, and itching associated with skin disorders
It provides fast relief for inflammatory skin conditions when used as directed.
Dosage & Administration:
-
Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily
-
Rub in gently and thoroughly
-
Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks without medical supervision

Avoid use on face, groin, or underarms unless directed by a physician
-
Wash hands after application
Interaction:

No significant systemic drug interactions known due to topical use
-
Avoid concurrent use with other corticosteroid-containing products on the same area
Contraindications:
-
Hypersensitivity to halobetasol or any component of the formulation
-
Viral skin infections (e.g., herpes simplex, chickenpox)
-
Fungal or bacterial infections without appropriate antimicrobial coverage

Rosacea or perioral dermatitis
Side Effects:

Local: Burning, stinging, dryness, skin thinning (with prolonged use)

Systemic (rare): Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia if used over large area or under occlusion
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation

Apply only if clearly needed and for the shortest duration
Precautions & Warnings:

Not for long-term use or use over large surface area

Avoid occlusive dressings unless prescribed

Discontinue if irritation or allergic reaction occurs

Not recommended for children under 12 years without physician advice
