RANSYS PLUS 20/12.5 MG Tablet is indicated for:

Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)
Patients requiring combination therapy for blood pressure control
Reduction of cardiovascular risks such as heart attacks and strokes

Pharmacology

RANSYS PLUS 20/12.5 MG Tablet contains:

Olmesartan Medoxomil (20 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of angiotensin II, thereby lowering blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): A thiazide diuretic that helps reduce blood pressure by removing excess salt and water from the body.

The combination works synergistically to provide effective blood pressure control and cardiovascular protection.

Dosage & Administration

The usual recommended dose is one tablet daily.
Can be taken with or without food.
Dosage should be individualized based on patient response and clinical condition.
Always follow the prescribing physician's instructions.

Interaction

Potassium Supplements or Potassium-Sparing Diuretics: Increased risk of hyperkalemia.
NSAIDs: May reduce the antihypertensive effect and increase the risk of renal impairment.
Other Antihypertensives: May enhance blood pressure-lowering effects.
Alcohol: May potentiate the hypotensive effects, leading to dizziness or fainting.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Olmesartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formulation.
Anuria or severe renal impairment.
Severe hepatic impairment.
Pregnancy and lactation.

Pregnancy & Lactation
