AXODIN 120MG Tablet is indicated for:
-
Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) relief, including sneezing, nasal discharge, and itchy nose or throat.
-
Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), reducing itching and size of hives.
Pharmacology:
AXODIN contains Fexofenadine Hydrochloride, a second-generation non-sedating H1-receptor antagonist.

It works by blocking histamine at peripheral H1 receptors, effectively controlling allergy symptoms without causing drowsiness.
Dosage & Administration:

Adults and children (12 years and older): One tablet (120 mg) once daily.

To be taken with water and without food for better absorption.
Interaction:

Avoid taking with aluminum or magnesium-containing antacids, as they may reduce Fexofenadine absorption.

Use cautiously with other antihistamines.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine or any of its components.
Side Effects:

Common: Headache, drowsiness (rare), nausea, dry mouth.

Rare: Dizziness, fatigue, or skin rash.
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Pregnancy: Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician (Category C).

Lactation: Consult a physician before use, as it may pass into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:

Not suitable for severe renal impairment without medical supervision.

Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs.
