Indications:
BEXITROL F 50/500 Maxhaler is indicated for:
Maintenance treatment of severe asthma in patients requiring a combination of LABA and ICS.
Long-term control of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in patients with frequent exacerbations.
Pharmacology:
Formoterol (50 mcg): A long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (LABA) that relaxes airway muscles, reducing bronchospasm and improving airflow.
Fluticasone Propionate (500 mcg): A high-potency inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that minimizes airway inflammation, preventing exacerbations of asthma and COPD.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and adolescents (12 years and older):
1-2 inhalations twice daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
Shake the device well before use and ensure proper inhalation technique.
Rinse mouth with water after use to avoid oral thrush.
Interaction:
May interact with beta-blockers, systemic corticosteroids, diuretics, antifungal agents, and antiviral drugs.
Avoid combining with other beta-agonists unless prescribed.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Formoterol, Fluticasone, or any excipients in the formulation.
