Pharmacology
MIRASOL XR contains an extended-release formulation of a calcium channel blocker (or other antihypertensive agent) that relaxes blood vessels, lowers blood pressure, and improves blood flow to the heart.
Dosage & Administration
Typically, one 25 mg tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day
Swallow whole; do not crush or chew XR tablets
Follow physician’s instructions strictly for dose and duration
Interaction
May interact with other blood pressure medications, beta-blockers, or heart drugs
Avoid grapefruit juice while taking this medication
Inform your doctor of all other medicines being taken
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to the drug or components
Severe hypotension or certain heart conditions like heart block without pacemaker
Pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed by a physician

Common: dizziness, headache, flushing, swelling of ankles
