Indications:
DIGECID 200ML is indicated for the relief of hyperacidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastric discomfort, and gastritis.
Pharmacology:
DIGECID contains a combination of antacid ingredients such as Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, and Simethicone. These agents neutralize excess gastric acid, reduce gas, and protect the stomach lining by forming a protective barrier.
Dosage:

Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoons (5–10 ml) after meals and at bedtime or as directed by a physician.

Children: As prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Shake well before use. Take orally, preferably after meals and before sleep.
Interaction:
Antacids can affect the absorption of certain medications like antibiotics (e.g., tetracycline, ciprofloxacin), iron, and digoxin. Maintain appropriate time gaps between DIGECID and other medications.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component.

Severe renal impairment.

Hypophosphatemia.
Side Effects:
May cause mild side effects like constipation or diarrhea, nausea, and a chalky taste. Prolonged use can cause imbalances in electrolyte levels.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Generally considered safe in pregnancy and lactation when used as directed. Consult a physician before use.
Precautions & Warnings:

Do not use continuously for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.

Avoid overdose which can lead to magnesium or aluminum toxicity.
