BEXITROL F 50/500 Bexicap is indicated for:
Maintenance treatment of severe persistent asthma.
Long-term therapy for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in patients with frequent exacerbations.
Pharmacology:
Formoterol (50 mcg): A long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (LABA) that relaxes airway smooth muscles, providing sustained relief from bronchoconstriction.
Fluticasone Propionate (500 mcg): A potent inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that minimizes airway inflammation and prevents exacerbations in asthma and COPD patients.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and adolescents (12 years and older): 1 capsule inhaled twice daily using a dry powder inhaler device or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Proper inhalation technique is essential for optimal benefit.
Rinse the mouth with water after each dose to prevent oral candidiasis.
Interaction:
