Indications:
Treatment of allergic rhinitis, hay fever
Relief from urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions
Management of itching and swelling due to allergies
Pharmacology:
Norestin contains an antihistamine that blocks H1 histamine receptors, preventing the effects of histamine released during allergic reactions.
Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: Usually 5 mg once daily or as prescribed
Adjust dose in elderly or patients with kidney problems
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food
Follow doctor's instructions carefully
Interaction:
May interact with CNS depressants, alcohol, and other antihistamines. Inform your healthcare provider of all medicines taken.
Contraindications:
Allergy to any ingredient of the medicine
Use cautiously in patients with glaucoma, urinary retention, or prostate enlargement
