Indications:
BETAPRO 5 MG Tablet is indicated for:

Management of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Prevention and treatment of angina pectoris.
-
Control of arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions requiring beta-blockade.
Pharmacology:
BETAPRO contains Propranolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker. It reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and the workload on the heart, leading to lower blood pressure and reduced oxygen demand.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 5 mg once or twice daily, depending on the condition and physician’s prescription.

Take with or without food.

Do not discontinue abruptly without consulting a healthcare provider.
Interaction:

May interact with other antihypertensives, digoxin, and antiarrhythmic drugs.

Caution with concurrent use of insulin or oral antidiabetics, as it may mask hypoglycemia symptoms.
Contraindications:

Asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Severe bradycardia or heart block.

Hypersensitivity to Propranolol or other beta-blockers.
Side Effects:

Common: Fatigue, dizziness, or mild bradycardia.

Rare: Depression, shortness of breath, or cold extremities.
