Indications:
Neurocare 30mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Pharmacology:
Neurocare contains Duloxetine, a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It increases the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, which helps reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and pain.
Dosage:
The usual starting dose is 30mg once daily. Depending on patient response, the dose may be increased to 60mg per day as recommended by the physician.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
May interact with MAO inhibitors, SSRIs, NSAIDs, anticoagulants, and alcohol. Inform your doctor of all current medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma, severe liver impairment, or known hypersensitivity to Duloxetine.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, constipation, and decreased appetite.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the risk. Not recommended during breastfeeding unless clearly needed.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor patients for suicidal thoughts or behavior, especially at the start of treatment. Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney disease. May impair alertness—avoid driving or operating machinery.
