Indications:
Neofloxin Eye Drop is indicated for the treatment of external ocular infections caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive bacteria, such as bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers.
Pharmacology:
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial death.
Dosage:
Conjunctivitis: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for 2 days, then 1-2 drops every 4 hours for the next 5 days.
Corneal ulcers: Follow physician's instruction; usually more frequent dosing initially.
Administration:
For ophthalmic use only. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface. Wash hands before and after use. Tilt head back and instill the drops into the conjunctival sac.
Interaction:
Minimal systemic absorption; no significant interactions reported. Do not use with other eye drops without medical advice.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones. Do not use in viral or fungal eye infections.
Side Effects:
May include eye irritation, burning, stinging, redness, or blurred vision. Rarely, allergic reactions may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician. Not recommended during lactation without medical supervision.
Precautions & Warnings:
For external use in eyes only. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment. Avoid contamination of the dropper.

Storage Conditions:
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. Discard after 28 days of first opening.
