Indications:
Nervalin 50mg Capsule is indicated for the management of neuropathic pain due to diabetic neuropathy, spinal cord injury, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder.
Pharmacology:
This capsule contains Pregabalin, which modulates calcium channel function in the central nervous system. It reduces the release of several neurotransmitters, which helps control nerve pain and anxiety.
Dosage:
Starting dose is usually 50mg once or twice daily. The doctor may increase or adjust the dose based on the patient’s response and condition.
Administration:
Take the capsule by mouth with water, with or without food. Do not chew or crush.
Interaction:
Pregabalin may increase the sedative effects of alcohol and other CNS depressants like sleeping pills or opioid pain relievers.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any inactive ingredients in the formulation.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, weight gain, dry mouth, blurred vision, and drowsiness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Pregabalin can pass into breast milk, so breastfeeding mothers should use it with caution.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment. Avoid activities that require mental alertness, such as driving, until you know how the medicine affects you.
