Indications
Fever in infants and children
Mild to moderate pain such as teething pain, earache, sore throat
Post-vaccination fever
Headache or general body aches in young children
Pharmacology
NAPA 125 MG contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain, which helps reduce fever and alleviate pain.
Dosage & Administration
Children (aged 6 months to 2 years): 125 mg every 4–6 hours as needed
Maximum: Not more than 4 doses in 24 hours
Can be administered as suppository or orally as directed
Do not exceed recommended dose without physician approval
Interaction
Use cautiously with other medications containing paracetamol
May interact with warfarin if used long-term
Alcohol consumption should be avoided in older children or adolescents
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to paracetamol
Severe liver disease
Side Effects
Rare: rash, allergic reactions, liver toxicity in overdose
Generally well-tolerated at recommended doses
Pregnancy & Lactation
Not applicable for pediatric product
For maternal use, paracetamol is considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when used appropriately
Precautions & Warnings
Do not use more than recommended dosage
In case of overdose, seek medical help immediately (risk of liver damage)
Keep track of total daily paracetamol intake if using multiple medications
