Indications:
Perinase Nasal 50µg Spray is indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, and nasal polyps. It may also be used prophylactically for allergy symptoms.

Pharmacology:
This spray contains mometasone furoate, a potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. It works locally on the nasal mucosa to reduce inflammation, swelling, and allergy symptoms by inhibiting multiple types of inflammatory cells and mediators.

Dosage:

Adults & children (12 years and older): 2 sprays in each nostril once daily.
Children (2–11 years): 1 spray in each nostril once daily.
Dosage should be as directed by a physician.

Administration:
For intranasal use only. Shake well before use. Prime the pump before first use or after a period of non-use. Blow nose gently before spraying.

Interaction:
Very low systemic absorption, hence drug interactions are rare. However, consult a doctor before use with other corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to mometasone or any component of the spray. Avoid in patients with active nasal infections or recent nasal surgery.

Side Effects:
Possible side effects include nosebleeds, nasal irritation, sore throat, or headache. Rare cases may involve nasal septum perforation or hypersensitivity reactions.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed. Caution is advised.

Precautions & Warnings:
Prolonged use may suppress local immunity or cause systemic corticosteroid effects. Regular monitoring is recommended for long-term users.
