Indications:
Remmo 40mg is indicated for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and to lower the risk of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk.
Pharmacology:
Contains atorvastatin, a lipid-lowering agent that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol production in the liver and increasing clearance of LDL cholesterol from blood.
Dosage:

Adults: 1 tablet (40mg) once daily, with or without food. Dose adjustment depends on clinical response.

Regular monitoring of lipid levels and liver function is advised.
Administration:
Take orally at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs like cyclosporine, certain antibiotics, antifungals, and other cholesterol-lowering medications. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications taken.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in active liver disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and hypersensitivity to atorvastatin.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include muscle pain, headache, nausea, and abdominal discomfort. Rarely, severe muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis) and liver enzyme elevation can occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for muscle pain or weakness and liver function regularly. Discontinue if severe side effects develop.
