Indications:
GLIPITA 50MG is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially when diet and exercise alone are insufficient to control blood glucose levels.
Pharmacology:
GLIPITA contains glipizide, a sulfonylurea class drug that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells, thereby lowering blood glucose levels.
Dosage:
Typical starting dose is 5mg once or twice daily, which may be increased gradually to a maximum of 40mg daily based on patient response. Dose should be individualized by the physician.
Administration:
Oral administration, preferably 30 minutes before meals. Swallow tablets whole with water.
Interaction:
May interact with other hypoglycemic agents, beta-blockers, corticosteroids, and alcohol. These interactions can alter blood sugar control.
Contraindications:
Type 1 diabetes mellitus
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Precautions & Warnings:

Avoid alcohol as it may cause severe hypoglycemia
