Indications:
Onriva Plus Bexicap is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Pharmacology:
This combination contains Amoxicillin, a penicillin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, and Clavulanate potassium, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting enzymes that degrade amoxicillin.
Dosage:
Typically, one capsule every 8 to 12 hours as prescribed by the physician. Dosage may vary based on infection severity.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve to prevent resistance.
Interaction:
May interact with oral anticoagulants, allopurinol, and other antibiotics. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients allergic to penicillins, cephalosporins, or clavulanate. Use with caution in patients with liver impairment.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, rash, and vomiting. Rarely, serious allergic reactions or liver problems may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician. Consult healthcare provider before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor for allergic reactions, especially in patients with a history of penicillin allergy. Use cautiously in hepatic impairment.
