Indications:
Opton 20mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and related cardiovascular conditions.
Pharmacology:
Contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscles, reducing blood pressure.
Dosage:
Typically, 5 mg to 10 mg once daily or as prescribed by the physician. Dose adjustment may be needed based on patient response.
Administration:
Take orally, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day for consistent effects.
Interaction:
May interact with other blood pressure medications, grapefruit juice, and certain heart medications. Inform your doctor about all drugs being taken.
Contraindications:
Not recommended for patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or similar drugs. Use cautiously in severe liver disease.
