Pharmacology
MOPRIDE contains Mosapride Citrate, a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist. It enhances the release of acetylcholine in the enteric nervous system, thereby increasing gastrointestinal motility without affecting acid secretion.
Dosage & Administration
Usual adult dose: 5 mg taken orally three times a day before meals
In case of 2 mg tablet: dose adjusted as per physician’s direction
Should be taken on an empty stomach for best results
Interaction
May interact with anticholinergic drugs, ketoconazole, and erythromycin
Inform your doctor about all current medications
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to mosapride or any component
Patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation
Side Effects
Common: diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth
Rare: skin rash, dizziness, palpitations
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician
Caution is advised in breastfeeding mothers

Not suitable for long-term use without medical supervision
Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney problems
