Indications
Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of bronchial asthma in children (2–5 years)

Pharmacology
MONOCAST 4 MG contains montelukast sodium, a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks leukotriene D4 at the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor. It helps reduce inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and allergic reactions in children.
Dosage & Administration
Children 2 to 5 years: 4 mg once daily, preferably in the evening
Can be taken with or without food
Use only under physician supervision
Interaction
Generally has low drug interaction risk
Inform the doctor about all current medications, including supplements
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to montelukast or any of its ingredients
Not for use during acute asthma attacks
Side Effects
Common: fever, cough, abdominal pain, headache
Rare: mood or behavioral changes, allergic reactions
