Indications:
Nervalin CR 82.5mg is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder, especially in patients who require a lower starting dose.
Pharmacology:
Pregabalin, the active ingredient in Nervalin CR, acts by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the CNS, reducing neurotransmitter release. The controlled-release formulation ensures steady absorption and prolonged effect with once-daily dosing.
Dosage:
The usual starting dose is 82.5mg once daily. Dose may be adjusted based on individual patient response and tolerance.
Administration:
Take the tablet once daily with food. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
Avoid combining with CNS depressants like alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids unless prescribed. Can increase sedation and dizziness.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any component of the product.
Side Effects:
May include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and mild swelling in hands or feet.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if clearly necessary and under a doctor’s supervision.
Precautions & Warnings:
Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment. May impair cognitive and motor skills; avoid activities like driving if drowsiness occurs.
