Indications:
Nervalin CR 165mg Capsule is indicated for the management of chronic neuropathic pain related to diabetic neuropathy, spinal cord injury, postherpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder.
Pharmacology:
Nervalin CR contains Pregabalin in a controlled-release formulation. It works by binding to calcium channels in the central nervous system, thereby reducing the release of neurotransmitters involved in pain and anxiety. The CR (Controlled Release) form ensures steady medication levels over time for prolonged effect.
Dosage:
The usual adult dose is one capsule daily or as prescribed by a physician. Dose adjustments may be required based on clinical response and renal function.
Administration:
Take orally once daily with food to enhance absorption. Do not crush or chew the capsule; swallow it whole.
Interaction:
May increase sedation when used with CNS depressants like opioids, benzodiazepines, or alcohol. Caution is advised.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any component of the formulation.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, swelling in hands or feet, and blurred vision.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed and under medical supervision. Use with caution in breastfeeding mothers.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with impaired renal function. May impair mental and physical abilities; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
