Indications:
Olopan Pro is indicated for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis and other allergic eye conditions, helping to relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, and excessive tearing.
Pharmacology:
Olopatadine Hydrochloride is a dual-action antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer. It blocks histamine H1 receptors and prevents the release of allergic mediators, providing both immediate and long-lasting relief.
Dosage:
Typically, one drop in each affected eye once or twice daily as directed by the physician. The exact dosage may vary depending on severity.
Administration:
For ophthalmic use only. Wash hands before application. Tilt head back and apply one drop without touching the eye. Avoid blinking for a few seconds.
Interaction:
No major interactions reported for topical use. If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes before applying another product.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olopatadine or any component of the formulation.
Side Effects:
May cause temporary blurred vision, mild burning, dryness, or irritation. Rare allergic reactions may occur.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid contact with contact lenses while using the drop. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface. If vision is blurred after application, avoid driving or operating machinery until it clears.
