Indications:
EVO 500MG is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, urinary tract infections, chronic bronchitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain types of prostatitis.

Pharmacology:
EVO 500MG contains Levofloxacin, a third-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential for bacterial replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death.

Dosage:
Adults: 250 mg to 750 mg once daily depending on the severity and type of infection.
Dosage should be adjusted in patients with renal impairment.

Administration:
EVO 500MG should be taken orally with or without food. It is advised to take it at the same time each day for best results.

Interaction:
Levofloxacin may interact with antacids, iron supplements, multivitamins, and certain antiarrhythmic drugs. Concurrent use with NSAIDs may increase CNS stimulation risk.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones. Also contraindicated in children, adolescents, and pregnant women unless absolutely necessary.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, and insomnia. Rare but serious effects include tendon rupture and QT prolongation.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy or lactation should be avoided unless no safer alternatives are available, and the potential benefit justifies the potential risk.

Precautions & Warnings:
Use with caution in patients with CNS disorders, seizure history, and renal impairment. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure due to photosensitivity risk.
