Indications
Fever in children
Mild to moderate pain including teething, earache, or headache
Fever after vaccination
When oral medication is not feasible due to vomiting or difficulty swallowing
Pharmacology
NAPA 250 MG contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), a widely used analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, helping reduce fever and relieve pain. As a suppository, it offers an alternative route of administration for children.
Dosage & Administration
Children aged 2–6 years: 250 mg (1 suppository) every 6–8 hours as needed
Maximum: Not more than 4 doses in 24 hours
Insert rectally with clean hands or using a disposable glove
Do not divide suppository; use full unit per dose
Do not exceed the prescribed dose
Interaction
May interact with other paracetamol-containing products
Long-term use with anticoagulants like warfarin should be done under supervision
Avoid combining with alcohol-containing medications
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol
Severe hepatic impairment

Very high doses may cause liver damage
Local irritation at the site of insertion may occur
Pregnancy & Lactation
