Zopride 50MG Tablet is indicated for:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Functional dyspepsia.
Gastric motility disorders.
Levosulpiride is a prokinetic agent that works as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. It enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the release of acetylcholine, improving symptoms like bloating, nausea, and delayed gastric emptying.
Usual dose: 25–50 mg three times daily before meals.
Dose adjustments may be required for elderly patients or those with renal impairment.
Follow the physician's instructions strictly.
Avoid concurrent use with CNS depressants, alcohol, or other dopaminergic drugs.
May interact with anticholinergics, which can reduce its efficacy.
Use cautiously with sedatives and antidepressants.
Hypersensitivity to Levosulpiride or any of its components.
Patients with epilepsy or severe psychiatric disorders.
Not recommended for use in those with gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation.
Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea.
Rare: Galactorrhea, gynecomastia, or extrapyramidal symptoms.
Not recommended during pregnancy unless benefits outweigh risks.
Use with caution during breastfeeding; consult a physician before use.
Avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.
Monitor patients with a history of neurological disorders.
Use cautiously in patients with kidney or liver impairment.
Prokinetic and antiemetic agent.
