Indications:
Nervalin 75mg is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, spinal cord injury, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder.
Pharmacology:
Nervalin contains Pregabalin, which binds to voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This reduces the release of several excitatory neurotransmitters, calming the nervous system and reducing pain signals.
Dosage:
Typical starting dose is 75mg once or twice daily depending on the condition. The physician may adjust the dosage as necessary.
Administration:
Should be taken orally with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole with sufficient water.
Interaction:
Increases sedation when taken with alcohol, opioids, or other sedatives. Avoid combining with such agents unless prescribed.
Contraindications:
Should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, peripheral edema, blurred vision, and difficulty with concentration.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Should be used during pregnancy only if clearly necessary and prescribed by a doctor. Caution is advised during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with kidney impairment. May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know its effect on you.
