Xidolac Meltab is indicated for pain relief and the treatment of inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain and inflammation.
Recommended dose: 100 mg daily, in divided doses or as prescribed by the physician.
Should be taken after meals to minimize gastric irritation.
Follow physician’s instructions regarding dose adjustments.
May interact with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), other NSAIDs, or corticosteroids.
Concurrent use with alcohol may increase gastrointestinal risks.
Known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac or other NSAIDs.
Patients with active peptic ulcers or severe renal/hepatic impairment.
Common: Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and abdominal discomfort.
Rare: Gastric bleeding, hypersensitivity reactions, and renal impairment.
Not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, unless advised by a physician.
Use with caution during lactation as it may pass into breast milk.
Monitor for signs of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular or renal impairment.
