BURATUSS 100ML Syrup is indicated for:

Relief from dry, non-productive cough.

Management of respiratory tract irritation.

Providing comfort in cases of throat discomfort associated with cough.
Pharmacology
BURATUSS contains Dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant that acts on the brain's cough center to reduce the frequency and intensity of cough, and Guaifenesin, an expectorant that helps loosen mucus, making it easier to expel.
Dosage and Administration

Adults and Children over 12 years: 2 teaspoons (10 ml) 3-4 times daily.

Children (6-12 years): 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3-4 times daily.

Should be taken with or without food, as prescribed.
Interaction

Avoid concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

May enhance the sedative effects of alcohol, antihistamines, or other CNS depressants.
Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin, or other components of the syrup.

Patients with chronic cough associated with smoking, asthma, or emphysema.
Side Effects

Common: Drowsiness, nausea, mild dizziness, and gastrointestinal discomfort.

Rare: Allergic reactions or severe respiratory depression.
