Management of allergic rhinitis symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and runny nose
Adjunct therapy for exercise-induced bronchospasm
Pharmacology
MONOCAST contains montelukast sodium, which blocks leukotriene receptors, reducing airway inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and allergic symptoms.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and adolescents: 10 mg once daily in the evening
Tablets should be taken orally with or without food
Follow physician’s dosage instructions carefully
Interaction
Generally low potential for drug interactions
Inform your doctor about all medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to montelukast or any component of the formulation
Not for treatment of acute asthma attacks
