Indications:
Pantobex 20mg is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and peptic ulcers.
Pharmacology:
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, leading to reduced acid production.
Dosage:
The usual dose is 20 mg once daily before meals, or as directed by a physician. Duration of therapy depends on the condition being treated.
Administration:
Take orally, preferably 30 minutes before food. Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing.
Interaction:
May interact with drugs like warfarin, ketoconazole, atazanavir, and methotrexate. Inform your doctor about all medications being taken.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or other PPIs.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, flatulence, and abdominal pain. Long-term use may affect calcium and magnesium levels.

Should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only when clearly needed and prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Precautions & Warnings:
