Indications:
HEMOFIX FZ is indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia and folate deficiency, especially in pregnancy and lactation, and conditions requiring zinc supplementation.
Pharmacology:

Iron (Ferrous Sulfate 48 mg): Provides elemental iron essential for hemoglobin synthesis and red blood cell production.

Folic Acid 0.5 mg: Vital for DNA synthesis and repair, supports red blood cell formation.

Zinc (22.5 mg): Important for immune function, wound healing, and enzymatic processes.
Dosage:
As prescribed by physician. Usually one tablet daily after meals to improve absorption and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
Administration:
Oral administration with water after meals. Avoid taking with calcium-rich foods or antacids which may reduce absorption.
Interaction:
May interact with antibiotics (tetracyclines, quinolones), antacids, and other mineral supplements reducing absorption.
Contraindications:

Hemochromatosis or other iron overload disorders
